I was born and raised in a coal mining town in Cape Breton. I left the province in search of work after high school and have spent a large part of my life living and working in Western Canada, mainly on large scale construction projects.

Outside of work, I considered myself an avid traveler, before deciding to start my family. I am married and have a young son. Currently I work as a trades instructor at the community college.

I value listening, hard work, fiscally responsible decision making, public engagement, and am looking to bring fresh, new ideas to generate discussions to keep building on the success of the town.
