Notice for Plan Shelburne: Public Participation Session #3
The Town of Shelburne is in the process of conducting a plan review entitled 'Plan Shelburne'. This review process will update the Town's Municipal Planning Strategy, Land Use By-law, and Subdivision By-law.
Plan Shelburne has started with four public participation sessions scheduled to take place roughly every two weeks from the end of January to early March 2016. The third session focuses on the theme of 'Economic Development' and will include such topics as Home-based Businesses, Signage, Transportation (truck routes), Commercial Zoning, and Parking. The remaining session will cover the theme of Active Transportation & Recreation.
Each public session is scheduled to take place twice, noontime and evening; these two sessions will cover the same subjects and town residents need attend only the one most convenient for them. The sessions are informal and you are encouraged to ask questions, provide input, discuss opportunities, and help shape the direction of the planning documents.
The next public participation session will be held on:
DATE: Tuesday, March 1, 2016
TIMES: 12:00-2:00PM & 6:00-8:00PM
LOCATION: Shelburne Community Centre
The public participation sessions are intended to provide residents with structured opportunities to give input into the drafting of the Town's key planning documents. We encourage participants to bring their ideas and aspirations for the future development of the Town. Additional information can be found on the Town's website: http://www.town.shelburne.ns.ca/ An online survey based on the theme of this session will be made available on the Town's website the day after the session.
